Weekly Market – Espinho’s Fair

4500-263 Espinho 41°00'15.6"N 8°38'18.9"W

Description

Since 1894, on the 1st and 16th of each month, a biweekly market was held in Espinho. Due to population growth, it has become weekly and today is one of the largest weekly markets in the country.

Whether you are a tourist or not, if you are one of those people who love visiting traditional markets and fairs, then come to the famous and antique Espinho Market.

It is held every Monday throughout the year (except on holidays) from 7 a.m. at 7 p.m.
By car or train, it is very easy to get here. And on Mondays all roads lead to the Market!

Get ready to walk and immerse yourself in the colours, smells and flavours of this incredible market... the kind of place that makes us to be in direct contact with local people...

By the way, among other things... food seduces.
Vendors are usually older people, small producers who sell vegetables and fruits. Always fresh!

In an extension to lose sight of, here you may find everything, absolutely everything imaginable...
In addition to the commercial aspect, it represents an important tourism event because of the variety of products for sale and direct transactions between the producer and the consumer.

Therefore, the arrival of domestic and foreign tourists is significant on Mondays, which increases the city’s traditional commerce and tourism.

We invite you to experience this typically northern local trade.
