FEST – New Filmmakers Festival | New Cinema is a unique celebration of the new cinema and the new filmmakers. The event seeks to create a space where young and promising filmmakers may show and promote their work, develop their knowledge, share opportunities and create new audiences for independent films.
The festival is divided into several categories, competitive and non‐competitive, with two main categories: short films (Competição Lince de Prata); and feature films of directors in their first or second production, regardless of their age (Competição Lince de Ouro).
The festival has an undoubted thirst for new visions and new perspectives on cinema, and has decided to follow all the paths that allow these promising filmmakers to advance in their careers.
